With the scan tool, read the body control module (BCM) current trouble codes.

Does scan tool display any DTCs?

Go to Step 2

  1. Turn the ignition to RUN.
  2. Turn the radio ON.

Does the radio operate?

--

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the retained accessory power (RAP) relay from the left bussed electrical center (LBEC).
  2. Using the appropriate probe from the J35616-A connector test adapter kit, connect a test lamp between cavity 87A and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Replace the RAP relay.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

  1. Locate the open in CKT 4 (RED) between the RAP relay and the ignition switch.
  2. Repair the open.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

  1. Disconnect connector C1 and C4 of the LBEC.
  2. Using the appropriate probe from the J35616-A connector test adapter kit, connect a test lamp between connector C1 cavity A9 or connector C4 cavity K and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 7

Replace the PWR WDO circuit breaker located in the LBEC.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

Locate and repair the open in circuit 1001 (DK GRN) between the LBEC and the left or the right power window/door lock switch.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK
