Removal Procedure

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable(s).
  2. Remove the instrument panel (IP) cluster trim bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement .
  3. Remove the center console, if equipped. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 374882  Size: SH
  5. Lower the trim panel compartment and remove the straps (1).

  6. Object Number: 348701  Size: SH
  7. Open the IP compartment door.
  8. Remove the bolts retaining the lower trim panel to the IP assembly.

  9. Object Number: 375028  Size: SH
  10. Disconnect all of the electrical connectors.
  11. Remove the lower trim panel.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 375028  Size: SH
  1. Connect all of the electrical connectors.

  2. Object Number: 348701  Size: SH
  3. Install the bolts connecting the lower trim panel to the IP assembly.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 2 N·m(18 lb in).

  5. Raise and attach the straps (1) holding the lower trim panel compartment.
  6. Install the center console if equipped. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .
  7. Install the IP cluster trim bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement .
  8. Connect the negative battery cable(s).
