1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Connect a scan tool.
3. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
4. Using the scan tool, check for any DTCs in the body control module (BCM).

Does the scan tool show any DTCs ?

Go to Step 2

Remove and inspect the LR PRK fuse.

Is the fuse open?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

1. Locate and repair CKT 2509 (BRN) for a short to ground.
2. Replace the fuse.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

1. Inspect the tail lamp for open filament.
2. Replace if needed.
3. Ensure that connector C2 at the rear lamps bussing block is properly seated.

Was the problem found?

--

System OK

Go to Step 5

Connect a self powered test lamp from terminal G to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Locate and repair CKT 1750 (BLK) for an open between the lamp and the rear lamps bussing block.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

Locate and repair the open 2509 (BRN) between fuse and lamp.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--
