Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 200036 Size: SH
  1. Block the wheels.
  2. Remove the cotter pin.
  3. Remove the washer.
  4. Remove the clevis pin.
  5. Remove the cable from the lever.

    6. Object Number: 200044 Size: SH
  6. Remove the bolts (3).
  7. Remove the washers (5).

    8. Object Number: 200047 Size: SH
  8. Remove the lever (2).
  9. Remove the bracket assembly (6).
  10. Remove the parking brake switch. Refer to Parking Brake Indicator Switch Replacement .

    11. Object Number: 200044 Size: SH
  11. Remove the following items:
    12. • The nuts (4)
    • The washers (5)
    • The bolts (3)
    • The spacers (2)
  12. Remove the lever (1) from the bracket (6).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 200044 Size: SH
  1. Install the lever (1) to the bracket (6).

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the following items:
    3. • The spacers (2)
    • The bolts (3)
    • The washers (5)
    • The nuts (4)

    Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 17 N·m (13 lb ft).

  3. Install the parking brake switch.
  4. Install the lever (2).
  5. Install the bracket assembly.

    6. Object Number: 200044 Size: SH
  6. Install the bolts (3).

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 28 N·m (21 lb ft).

  7. Install the washers (5).

    8. Object Number: 200036 Size: SH
  8. Install the cable to the lever.
  9. Install the clevis pin.
  10. Install the washer.
  11. Install the cotter pin.
  12. Adjust the lever. Refer to Parking Brake Lever Adjustment .
  13. Remove the wheel blocks.
