Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement Pickup

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the coat hook. Refer to Coat Hook Replacement .
  2. Remove the seat belt. Refer to Front Seat Belt Replacement in Seatbelts.
  3. Remove the jack cover, the jack, and the jack tray on the right side. Refer to Jack and Tool Stowage Replacement in Body Rearend.
  4. Remove the rear window lower garnish molding. Refer to Rear Window Lower Garnish Molding Replacement .

  5. Object Number: 276484  Size: SH
  6. Remove the quarter panel trim screws, pickup and extended cab only.
  7. Remove the rear screws from the sill trim plate, pickup and crew cab only.
  8. Remove the quarter trim panel.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 276484  Size: SH
  1. Install the quarter trim panel.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the panel screws, pickup and crew cab only.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the quarter panel trim screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the rear screws into the sill trim plate.
  6. Install the rear window lower garnish molding.
  7. Install the jack tray, the jack, and the cover on the right side.
  8. Install the seat belt. Refer to Rear Seat Belt Replacement in Seatbelts.
  9. Install the coat hook. Refer to Rear Window Lower Garnish Molding Replacement .

Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement Extended Cab

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the coat hook. Refer to Coat Hook Replacement .
  2. Remove the seat belt. Refer to Rear Seat Belt Replacement in Seatbelts.
  3. Remove the jack cover, the jack, the jack tray on the right side.Refer to Jack and Tool Stowage Replacement in Body Rearend.
  4. Remove the rear window lower garnish molding. Refer to Rear Window Lower Garnish Molding Replacement .

  6. Remove the quarter panel trim screws, pickup and extended cab only.
  7. Remove the rear screws from the sill trim plate, pickup and crew cab only.
  8. Remove the quarter trim panel.

Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement Crew Cab

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the coat hook. Refer to Coat Hook Replacement .
  2. Remove the seat belt. Refer to Rear Seat Belt Replacement in Seatbelts.
  3. Remove the jack cover, the jack, the jack tray on the right side.Refer to Jack and Tool Stowage Replacement in Body Rearend.
  4. Remove the rear window lower garnish molding. Refer to Rear Window Lower Garnish Molding Replacement .

  6. Remove the quarter panel trim screws, pickup and extended cab only.
  7. Remove the rear screws from the sill trim plate, pickup and crew cab only.
  8. Remove the rear quarter trim panel (1).

  1. Install the rear quarter trim panel (1).

Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement Utility, Right

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear seat. Refer to Rear Seat Belt Replacement in Seats.
  2. Remove the rear blower motor trim cover.
  3. Remove the cargo door pillar molding. Refer to Cargo Net Replacement in Body Rearend.
  4. Remove the rear door lock pillar molding.
  5. Remove the front door lock pillar molding.
  6. Remove the quarter panel trim screws.

  8. Remove the quarter panel trim from the vehicle.
  9. Lift the quarter panel to release the quarter panel from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the quarter panel trim to the vehicle.

  5. Install the front door lock pillar molding to the pillar. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement .
  6. Install the cargo door pillar molding to the pillar. Refer Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement .
  7. Install the rear blower motor trim cover.
  8. Install the rear seat.

Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement Luxury

Removal Procedure, Right Side

  1. Remove the retaining screw.

  2. Object Number: 276943  Size: SH
  3. Remove the trim plate from the rear floor area.
  4. Remove the right rear body corner lower garnish molding.

  5. Object Number: 276538  Size: SH
  6. Remove the rear door sill plate.

  7. Object Number: 186863  Size: SH
  8. Remove the right rear door upper seat belt anchor bolts.
  9. Remove the right rear side door lock pillar garnish molding.

  10. Object Number: 326652  Size: SH
  11. Remove the right rear body quarter trim panel (2).
  12. Remove the electrical connector from the rear power point (1).
  13. Remove the power point(1) if needed.

Installation Procedure, Right Side

  1. Install the power point if it was removed.

  2. Object Number: 326652  Size: SH
  3. Install the electrical connector to the rear power point (1).
  4. Install the right rear body quarter trim panel (2) to the vehicle.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the quarter panel trim screws.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the quarter panel trim screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  8. Install the right rear side door lock pillar garnish molding.

  9. Object Number: 186863  Size: SH
  10. Install the right rear door upper seat belt anchor bolts.

  11. Object Number: 276538  Size: SH
  12. Install the right rear door sill plate.
  13. Install the right rear body corner lower garnish molding.

  14. Object Number: 276943  Size: SH
  15. Install the trim plate to the rear floor area.

Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement Utility, Left

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear seat. Refer to Rear Seat Replacement in Seats.
  2. Remove the spare tire cover.
  3. Remove the spare tire and the jack. Refer to Jack and Tool Stowage Replacement in Body Rearend.
  4. Remove the spare tire rest trim covers
  5. Remove the spare tire rest bolts.
  6. Remove the spare tire rest from the vehicle.
  7. Remove the spare tire holder from the floor.
  8. Remove the spare tire I-bolt from the vehicle.
  9. Remove the armrest. Refer to Armrest Bracket Replacement in Doors.
  10. Remove the cargo door pillar moldings. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement .
  11. Remove the intermediate seat belt to the rear door pillar bolt. Refer to Seat Belt Replacement - Intermediate in Seatbelts.
  12. Remove the rear door lock pillar molding. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement .

  13. Object Number: 276493  Size: SH
  14. Remove the rear quarter panel trim screws.
  15. Remove the rear quarter panel trim from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear quarter panel trim to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.   3. Install the rear quarter panel trim screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the rear quarter panel trim screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the rear door lock pillar trim panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement .
  6. Install the intermediate seat belt anchor to the floor bolt. Refer to Seat Belt Replacement - Intermediate in Seatbelts.
  7. Install the intermediate seat belt to the rear door pillar bolt.
  8. Install the cargo door pillar trim panels to the pillar. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement .
  9. Install the armrest. Refer to Armrest Bracket Replacement in Doors.
  10. Install the spare tire I-bolt to the vehicle.
  11. Install the spare tire holder to the floor.
  12. Install the spare tire rest to the vehicle.
  13. Install the spare tire rest bolts.
  14. Install the spare tire rest covers and the jack. Refer to Jack and Tool Stowage Replacement in Body Rearend.
  15. Install the spare tire.
  16. Install the spare tire cover.
  17. Install the rear seat. Refer to Rear Seat Replacement in Seats.
