Auxiliary Blower Motor Replacement Rear Auxillary

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the right rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side in Interior Trim.

  2. Object Number: 735953  Size: SH
  3. Remove the retaining bolts (5) from the HVAC module-auxiliary (1).
  4. Remove the retaining nuts (4) from the HVAC module-auxiliary (1) under the vehicle.

  5. Object Number: 819794  Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the electrical connectors (3,4).
  7. Remove the blower motor screws.
  8. Remove the blower motor (1) from the HVAC module-auxiliary (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 819794  Size: SH
  1. Install the blower motor-auxiliary (1) to the HVAC module-auxiliary (2).
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the blower motor-auxiliary screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connectors (3,4).

  7. Install the retaining bolts (5) to the HVAC module-auxiliary.
  8. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application.   9. Tighten the HVAC module-auxiliary retaining bolts (5).
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (88 lb in).

  11. Install the retaining nuts (4) to the HVAC module-auxiliary (1) under the vehicle.
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 10 N·m (88 lb in).

  13. Install the right rear quarter trim. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side in Interior Trim.

Auxiliary Blower Motor Replacement Front Auxillary - Except Rainier

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front floor console. Refer to Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

  2. Object Number: 735942  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors (4) from the blower motor-auxiliary (3).
  4. Remove the air outlet duct from the blower motor-auxiliary.
  5. Remove the screws (2, 5) from the blower motor-auxiliary.
  6. Remove the blower motor-auxiliary (3).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the blower motor-auxiliary (3).
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the retaining screws (2, 5) to the blower motor-auxiliary.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 10 N·m (88 lb in).

  5. Install the air outlet duct to the blower motor-auxiliary.
  6. Connect the electrical connectors (4) to the blower motor-auxiliary (3).
  7. Install the front floor console. Refer to Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

Auxiliary Blower Motor Replacement Front Auxillary - Rainier

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

  2. Object Number: 735942  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors (4) from the blower motor-auxiliary (3).
  4. Remove the air outlet duct from the blower motor-auxiliary.
  5. Remove the screws (2, 5) from the blower motor-auxiliary.
  6. Remove the blower motor-auxiliary (3).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the blower motor-auxiliary (3).
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the retaining screws (2, 5) to the blower motor-auxiliary.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 10 N·m (88 lb in).

  5. Install the air outlet duct to the blower motor-auxiliary.
  6. Connect the electrical connectors (4) to the blower motor-auxiliary (3).
  7. Install the instrument panel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
