Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 744528 Size: SH
  1. The floor shift control knob and boot are serviced as an assembly.
  2. Loosen the set screw (3) or (1) for Buick models.
  3. Push in at the base of the boot to release the locking tabs (2) from the console assembly.
  4. Pull up to remove the knob and boot assembly from the transmission control (4).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 744528 Size: SH
  1. Install the knob and boot assembly onto the transmission control (4).

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Engage the locking tabs (2) with the console assembly.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the control knob set screw (1 or 3) to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
