Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 902604 Size: SH
  1. Open the endgate (drop mode).
  2. Remove the bolts retaining the latch bracket assembly to the endgate.
  3. Remove the latch bracket assembly from the endgate.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the latch assembly.

    5. Object Number: 1229116 Size: SH
  5. Remove the screws retaining the latch assembly to the latch bracket.
  6. Remove the latch assembly from the bracket.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1229116 Size: SH
  1. Install the latch assembly to the latch bracket.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the screws retaining the latch assembly to the latch bracket.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the latch screws to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connector to the latch assembly.

    4. Object Number: 902604 Size: SH
  4. Install the latch bracket assembly to the endgate.
  5. Install the bolts retaining the latch assembly bracket to the endgate.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the latch bracket bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
