Circuit Description
The endgate module monitors the lower left endgate latch actuator and upper right endgate latch actuator circuits. When the endgate module detects an open or short to ground on the lower left endgate latch actuator and upper right endgate latch actuator circuits, a DTC is set.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
The endgate module detects a short to ground or an open on the lower left endgate latch actuator and upper right endgate latch actuator circuits.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
| • | Stores a current DTC B3967 in endgate module memory. |
| • | Stores a history DTC B3967 in endgate module memory. |
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
| • | The endgate module no longer detects a current DTC B3967 in endgate module memory. |
| • | The DTC is cleared using a scan tool. |
Diagnostic Aids
If the DTC does not reset after the code is cleared, then the problem may be intermittent. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems.
