Removal Procedure

    Note: The transfer case shift control module (TCCM) is located under the drivers seat carpet. For removal purposes, access the TCCM from underneath the carpet.

  1. Remove the drivers bucket seat or split bench seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket or Split Bench Seat Replacement.
  2. Remove the left front sill plate. Refer to Front Side Door Sill Trim Plate Replacement.
  3. Remove the left hinge pillar. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side.
  4. Remove the left center pillar. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement.

  5. Object Number: 1346474  Size: SH
  6. Use a flat-bladed tool to release the 2 tabs (1) retaining the TCCM to the bracket.
  7. Partially remove the TCCM from the bracket.
  8. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  9. Remove the TCCM from the vehicle.
  10. If removing the bracket, remove the 2 fasteners retaining the bracket to the floor panel.
  11. Remove the bracket from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1346474  Size: SH
  1. If replacing the bracket, install the bracket to the floor panel.
  2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the 2  fasteners retaining the bracket to the floor panel. Tighten the fasteners to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
  4. Position the TCCM to the bracket.
  5. Connect the electrical connectors.
  6. Install the TCCM to the bracket, ensuring the retaining tabs (1) are fully engaged.
  7. Install the left center pillar. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement.
  8. Install the left hinge pillar. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side.
  9. Install the left front sill plate. Refer to Front Side Door Sill Trim Plate Replacement.
  10. Install the drivers bucket seat or split bench seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket or Split Bench Seat Replacement.
