Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1352026 Size: SH
  1. Remove the air cleaner resonator and outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator and Outlet Duct Replacement.
  2. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge pipe (1) from the throttle control module (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.

    3. Object Number: 1771749 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the throttle body control module.

    4. Object Number: 1771750 Size: SH
  4. Remove the throttle control module bolts.
  5. Remove the throttle control module and the seal from the intake manifold.
  6. Clean the gasket surface.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1771750 Size: SH
  1. Insert a NEW seal into the intake manifold groove.
  2. Position the throttle body control module to the intake manifold.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the throttle body control module bolts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  4. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) to the throttle body control module.

    5. Object Number: 1352026 Size: SH
  5. Connect the EVAP canister purge pipe (1) to the throttle control module. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.
  6. Install the air cleaner resonator and outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator and Outlet Duct Replacement.
