J 45059 Torque Angle Meter

1. Center the steering rack.
2. Remove the adjuster plug (1).
3. Remove the existing Loctite® from the housing and the plug.
4. Apply NEW Loctite® 368 to the threads of the plug.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

5. Install the adjuster plug (1)

Tighten
Tighten the adjuster plug to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

6. Turn the input shaft stop-to-stop, then back to center 3 times.
7. Before the Loctite® hardens use J 45059 to back off the adjuster plug 45 degrees.
