    • J 28585 Universal Snap Ring Remover for the 5/8 inch Line
    • J 41623-B 3/8 inch Line Quick Release Tool

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the plastic caps from the quick connect fittings by pulling the caps back along the pipe before installation.

  2. Object Number: 1195053  Size: SH
  3. Install the J 41623-B onto the transmission oil cooler (TOC) pipe, or use the J 28585

  4. Object Number: 1195054  Size: SH
  5. Slide the J 41623-B toward the TOC pipe fitting, or use the J 28585

  6. Object Number: 1195056  Size: SH

    Note: Rotate the J 41623-B to engage the TOC pipe fitting's retainer slots.

    The J 41623-B should be nearly flush with the fitting.

  7. Connect the J 41623-B onto the TOC pipe fitting.

  8. Object Number: 1195059  Size: SH
  9. Rotate the J 41623-B or use the J 28585 until the retainer clip (1) rises above the fitting retainer seat.

  10. Object Number: 1195062  Size: SH
  11. Pull back on the TOC pipe to disengage the pipe from the TOC pipe fitting.
  12. Remove the J 41623-B or the J 28585 from the TOC pipe.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1195424  Size: SH

    Note: Discard the TOC retaining clip and install a new retaining clip.

  1. Install the TOC pipe into the TOC pipe fitting.
  2. A distinct snap should be heard or felt when assembling the TOC pipe to the fitting.

  3. To ensure the cooler line is properly installed, give the cooler pipe a gentle pull.
