Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
2. Remove the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor. Refer to Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Replacement .
3. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose. Refer to Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube Replacement - Front .
4. Remove the brake booster hose from the intake manifold.

Front Insulator

Procedure

Lift upward on the front intake manifold insulator.

Purge Tube Assembly

Procedure

Disconnect the purge tube assembly from the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister connector.

Right Side Intake Manifold Insulator Bolt (Qty: 3)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Procedure

Remove the right side intake manifold insulator bolts.

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)

Right Side Intake Manifold Insulator

Procedure

Remove the left side insulator retaining bolts.

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)

Left Side Insulator Bolt (Qty: 2)

Procedure

Remove the left side insulator.
