Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the left engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement .
  3. Support the transmission with a transmission jack.
  4. Disconnect the transmission mount vacuum hose if the vehicle is equipped with the active mount control system.

  5. Remove the transmission mount nuts (1, 2).

  6. Remove the transmission mount bracket bolts (1, 2).
  7. Using the transmission jack, lift the transmission just enough to gain clearance for tilting the transmission mount.
  8. Remove the transmission mount bracket bolt (3).

    9. Object Number: 2003344 Size: SH
  9. Remove the transmission mount (2) and bracket (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2003344 Size: SH
  1. Install the transmission mount (2) and bracket (1) to the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the transmission mount bracket bolt (3).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 90 N·m (66 lb ft)

  3. Install the transmission mount bracket bolt (1).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 60 N·m (44 lb ft)

  4. Using the transmission jack, lower the transmission until the transmission mount bracket rests on the transmission mount.
  5. Install the transmission mount bracket bolt (2).

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 90 N·m (66 lb ft)

  6. Remove the transmission jack.

    7. Object Number: 2003342 Size: SH

    Important: The transmission mount nuts must be replaced once removed. When the nut has to be loosened or removed, threadlocker must be used in addition to using a new nut. Allow adhesive on new transmission mount nuts to cure for 24 hours after replacement.

  7. Apply threadlocker GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) to the transmission mount threads.
  8. Install the transmission mount nut (2).

    9. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 75 N·m (55 lb ft)

  9. Install the transmission mount nut (1).

    10. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 60 N·m (44 lb ft)

  10. Connect the transmission mount vacuum hose if the vehicle is equipped with the active mount control system.
  11. Install the left engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement .
  12. Lower the vehicle
