The following service procedures require either a programming or a setup event performed for a complete repair.

EBCM Replacement

If the electronic brake control module (EBCM) is replaced, the following procedures must be performed:

  1. Program the EBCM. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS).
  2. Calibrate the steering angle sensor. Refer to Steering Angle Sensor Centering.
  3. Calibrate the multi-axis acceleration sensor. Refer to Vehicle Yaw Sensor Learn.
  4. Calibrate the brake pressure sensor. Refer to Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Pressure Sensor Calibration.

EBCM Reprogramming

If the EBCM needs to be reprogrammed, the following procedures must be performed:

  1. Program the EBCM. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS).
  2. Calibrate the steering angle sensor. Refer to Steering Angle Sensor Centering.
  3. Calibrate the multi-axis acceleration sensor. Refer to Vehicle Yaw Sensor Learn.
  4. Calibrate the brake pressure sensor. Refer to Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Pressure Sensor Calibration.

Setup for Component Replacement

The replacement of some components will require a setup procedure for complete repair.

If any of the following components are replaced, the corresponding procedure must be performed.

Steering Angle Sensor

  1. Program the steering angle sensor. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS).
  2. Calibrate the steering angle sensor. Refer to Steering Angle Sensor Centering.

Multi-Axis Acceleration Sensor

Calibrate the multi-axis acceleration sensor. Refer to Vehicle Yaw Sensor Learn.

Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Assembly
