Preliminary Procedure

Remove the wheel drive shaft. Refer to Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Right Side.

Front Wheel Drive Intermediate Shaft Bracket Bolt (Qty: 3)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tip
Use care when removing the intermediate drive shaft from the transmission as not to damage the seal.

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb ft)

Front Wheel Drive Intermediate Shaft

Tip
The DT-6332 protector must be installed into the differential output shaft seal prior to removing and installing the intermediate shaft. Failure to install the DT-6332 protector may cause splines of the intermediate shaft to cut the differential output seal.
