For 1990-2009 cars only
- Remove the 2 oil pan baffle bolts (1) and the oil pan baffle (2).
- Remove the oil pump screen (3).
- Clean the oil pan (4). Remove all the sludge and the oil deposits.
- Remove the oil pan drain plug (5) and the oil pan drain plug seal (6).
- Inspect the thread of the oil pan drain plug.
- Inspect the oil pan for cracking near the pan rail and the transmission mounting points.
- Inspect the oil pan for cracking resulting from impact or flying road debris.
- Inspect the oil pan baffle and oil pump screen.
- Repair or replace the oil pan as necessary.
