  1. Raise the vehicle by its full height. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the front compartment insulator. Refer to Front Compartment Insulator Replacement.

  3. Object Number: 2028247  Size: SH
  4. Remove the charge air cooler inlet air tube bolt (4).
  5. Remove the 2 hose clamps (3).
  6. Remove the 3 air charge air cooler inlet air tube bolts (1).
  7. Remove the charge air cooler inlet air tube (2).

  8. Object Number: 2027648  Size: SH
  9. Remove the 2 turbocharger oil return hose clamps (1, 2).
  10. Remove the turbocharger oil return hose (3).

  11. Object Number: 2028051  Size: SH
  12. Remove the 2 turbocharger oil return pipe nuts (2).
  13. Remove the turbocharger oil return pipe (1).
  14. Remove the turbocharger oil return pipe gasket (3).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 2028051  Size: SH
  1. Install a NEW turbocharger oil return pipe gasket (3).
  2. Install the turbocharger oil return pipe (1).
  3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Install the 2 turbocharger oil return pipe nuts (2) and tighten to  12 N·m (107 lb in).

  5. Object Number: 2027648  Size: SH
  6. Install the turbocharger oil return hose (3).
  7. Install the 2 turbocharger oil return hose clamps (1, 2).

  8. Object Number: 2028247  Size: SH
  9. Install the charge air cooler inlet air tube (2).
  10. Install the 3 charge air cooler inlet air tube bolts (1) and tighten to  10 N·m (89 lb in).
  11. Install the 2 hose clamps (3).
  12. Install the charge air cooler inlet air tube bolt (4) and tighten to  10 N·m (89 lb in).
  13. Install the front compartment insulator. Refer to Front Compartment Insulator Replacement.
  14. Lower the vehicle by its full height. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
