Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Partially remove the front fender liner to access the wheel opening molding push-in retainer. Refer to Fender Liner Replacement in Body Front End.

  3. Object Number: 319603  Size: SH
  4. Remove the screws from the lower rear of the fender wheel opening molding.

  5. Object Number: 812154  Size: SH
  6. Remove the push-in retainer from the front wheel opening molding.

  7. Object Number: 319605  Size: SH
  8. Pull the fender wheel opening molding from the fender releasing the retainers in the fender.
  9. Remove the fender wheel opening molding from the fender.

Installation Procedure

  1. Align the fender wheel opening molding to the holes in the fender.

  2. Object Number: 319603  Size: SH
  3. Press down on the fender wheel opening molding to seat the retainers to the fender.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the screws to the lower rear of the fender wheel opening molding.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the lower rear fender wheel opening molding screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  7. Install the push-in retainer to the front of the fender opening molding.
  8. Install the front fender liner. Refer to Fender Liner Replacement in Body Front End.
  9. Lower the vehicle.
