Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement.

  2. Object Number: 65091  Size: SH
  3. Remove the bolts/screws from the radio.
  4. Remove the radio from the center support bracket enough to access the connectors at the rear of the radio.

  5. Object Number: 318001  Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the electrical/audio and antenna cable connectors from the radio.
  7. Pull straight out from the instrument panel in order to remove the radio.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 318001  Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical/audio and antenna cable connectors to the radio.

  2. Object Number: 65092  Size: SH
  3. Install the radio into the I/P center support bracket.
  4. Align the radio locator tab into the I/P center support bracket locator hole.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the bolts/screws to the radio.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts/screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  7. Install the instrument panel accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  8. Perform the radio set up procedure. Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information.
