  1. Turn ON the ignition.
  2. Open and close the RR sliding door.

Does the instrument panel cluster (IPC) door ajar message operate normally?

Go to Step 4

  1. Disconnect the mobility seat module connector C1.
  2. Using a test lamp connected to a good ground test both of the battery voltage supply circuit terminals in the harness connector.

Does the test lamp illuminate on both circuits?

Go to Step 5

Using a test lamp connected to battery voltage test both of the ground circuit terminals in the harness connector C1.

Does the test lamp illuminate on both circuits?

  1. Open the RR sliding door.
  2. Disconnect the mobility seat module connector C1.
  3. Using a test lamp connected to battery voltage test the door jamb switch circuit terminal in the harness connector C1.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 10

Repair the battery voltage supply circuit to the mobility seat module for an open or short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 12

Repair the mobility seat module ground circuit for an open or high resistance. Refer to Circuit Testing and to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the right rear (RR) sliding door jamb switch circuit to the mobility seat module for an open or short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Inspect for poor connections at the mobility seat module harness connectors. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and to Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Replace the mobility seat module. Refer to Control Module References in Computer/Integrating Systems for replacement, setup, and programming.
