Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 318214  Size: MH
  1. Open the IP compartment door.
  2. Remove the screws (1) that mount the IP compartment to the instrument panel.
  3. Pull out the clips in order to remove the IP compartment from the instrument panel.
  4. The clips may be difficult to release.

  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connectors.

  2. Object Number: 318214  Size: MH
  3. Slide the IP compartment into the opening in the instrument panel.
  4. Align the locator pins into the hole in the instrument panel.
  5. Align the retaining clips with the slots.
  6. Push in the IP compartment until secure.
  7. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Install the screws (1) to the IP compartment.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  10. Close the IP compartment door.
