Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the battery negative cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  3. Remove the electrical connector from the engine oil pressure sensor.

  4. Object Number: 82225  Size: SH
  5. Remove the engine oil pressure switch.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 82225  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the engine oil pressure switch.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the switch to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

  3. Install the electrical connector to the engine oil pressure switch.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Install the battery negative cable to the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
