Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 763014  Size: SH
  1. Loosen the 2 intake air duct clamps (1) from the mass airflow (MAF) sensor (2) and the throttle body.
  2. Remove the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor from the duct. Refer to Intake Air Temperature Sensor Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the vent tube from the air intake duct.
  4. Disconnect the MAF sensor electrical connector.

  6. Unlatch the air cleaner cover clips (1) and remove the air intake duct and air cleaner cover.
  7. Separate the air intake duct from the MAF sensor.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the air intake duct to the MAF sensor.
  2. Install the air intake duct to the throttle body and the air cleaner cover to the air cleaner assembly.
  3. Latch the air cleaner cover clips (1).

  5. Reconnect the MAF sensor electrical connector (2).
  6. Reconnect the vent tube to the air intake duct.
  7. Install the IAT sensor.
  8. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  9. Tighten the 2 intake air duct clamps (1).
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the intake air duct clamps to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
