This bulletin is being revised to update parts information. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 00-08-64-015 (Section 08 -- Body & Accessories).
Condition
Some customers may comment that the door edge guard has started to come off or the over-slam bumper has fallen off.
Cause
A loss of adhesion to the body may have occurred.
Correction
- If the over-slam bumper is missing, clean the surface of the door and install the bumper just below the body feature line (see Figure).
- Install the new door edge guard just below the over-slam bumper. The new door edge guard pushes over the hem flange on the front leading edge of the door (see Figure).
