  1. Disconnect the powertrain control module (PCM) connector C1.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

Is the CHARGE warning ON?

  1. Connect the powertrain control module (PCM) connector C1.
  2. Disconnect the generator connector.
  3. Set the gear selector to the PARK position.
  4. Start the engine.
  5. Run the engine over 1200 revolutions per minute (RPM) for at least 10 seconds.

Is the CHARGE warning ON?

Inspect CKT 225 for a short to ground.

Is there a short to ground in CKT 225?
