DEFINITION: The Rear Seat Audio (RSA) L.E.D. power indicator is always on. This table does not apply to vehicles equipped with Rear Seat Entertainment RPO U32.

Did you perform the Entertainment Diagnostic System Check?

Go to Step 2

  1. Turn the ignition to accessory.
  2. Turn the radio on.
  3. Observe the power indicator L.E.D. on the Rear Seat Audio (RSA) control.

Is the power indicator off?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

Press the power button on the rear seat audio control.

Did the power indicator turn off?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 4

Test the radio rear seat audio enable circuit for a short to battery voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

  1. Inspect for poor connections at the harness of the RSA Control. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
  2. If a poor connection is not found, replace the RSA module. Refer to Rear Seat Audio Control Replacement .
