The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
If a vehicle has a cam sensor DTC P0107 P0315 P0452 P0522 P0532 or P0641. Check the following.
Recommendation/Instructions:
The wires are coming off the side of the cam sensor connector forcing the red wire to sit high. The power steering pump sits right on top of this connector. You cannot see it with everything in place. To verify complaint (if concern is not occurring) wiggle/tug
on the C130 connector (connector is mounted in bracket attached to upper front passenger side of the intake manifold). When the pump is removed you may find the red wire smashed and rubbed through on the pump bottom.
Repair following eSI wiring repair procedure.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
