Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2008 🢒 Uplander Ext. 🢒 Body Hardware and Trim 🢒 Instrument Panel and Console Trim 🢒 Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Handle Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 318197 Size: SH
  2. Remove the screws from the hood release handle.
  3. Remove the hood release handle from the instrument panel (I/P).

    4. Object Number: 318199 Size: SH
  4. Use a small, flat-bladed tool in order to remove the hood release cable grommet from the brake pedal bracket plate.
  5. Remove the hood release cable from the hood latch.
  6. Route the hood release cable from the brake pedal bracket plate.
  7. Remove the hood release cable and hood release handle from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the hood release cable and hood release handle to the vehicle.

    2. Object Number: 318199 Size: SH
  2. Route the hood release cable to the brake pedal bracket plate panel.
  3. Install the hood release cable to the hood latch.
  4. Press the hood release cable grommet into place in order to install the grommet to the brake pedal bracket plate.

    5. Object Number: 318197 Size: SH
  5. Install the hood release handle to the I/P.

    6. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  6. Install the screws to the hood release handle.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  7. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement .
