Information on Servicing Terraza, Uplander, Montana SV6 and Relay Lock Cylinder Components

The purpose of this bulletin is to inform dealers and retailers of a change to service parts availability for Buick Terraza, Chevrolet Uplander, Pontiac Montana SV6 and Saturn Relay lock cylinder components. The current lock cylinder kits for the doors and ignition cylinder will be modified to now include additional component parts to build up a complete ignition and door lock cylinder assembly. Additionally, once inventory of the lock cylinder individual component parts (tumblers, springs, levers, shutter, cap, etc.) are depleted, these component parts will only be available as part of the new lock cylinder kits, P/Ns 15785106, 15860312, 15821966 and 15821967.

The new lock cylinder kits, P/Ns 15785106, 15821966, and 15821967, listed in the Parts Information table can be used to replace or repair lock cylinder assemblies on Buick Terraza, Chevrolet Uplander, Pontiac Montana SV6 and Saturn Relay vehicles containing the smaller headed keys with the GM logo and two "ears" protruding out from the ignition closeout bezel.

2005 Terraza, Uplander, Montana SV6 and Relay vehicles containing the larger headed keys with the divisional (Buick, Chevrolet, Pontiac, or Saturn) logo and no "ears" protruding out from the ignition closeout bezel can still be serviced with individual component parts listed in the online Parts Catalog (for Saturn Retailers, see pages 9-55 through 9-58 of the Saturn Relay Parts & Illustration Catalog).

The ignition cylinder kit, P/N 15860312, is to be used to service all 2006 and later Terrazas, Uplanders, Montana SV6, and Relays built with the larger headed divisional (Buick, Chevrolet, Pontiac, or Saturn) logo key blank with no "ears" protruding out from the ignition closeout bezel.
