Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2009 🢒 Traverse 🢒 Driveline/Axle 🢒 Wheel Drive Shafts 🢒 Front Wheel Drive Intermediate Shaft Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the right front wheel drive shaft. Refer to Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 1850442 Size: MH
  3. Remove the intermediate drive shaft mounting bolts from the engine bracket.

    4. Object Number: 1850888 Size: SH
  4. Remove the intermediate drive shaft from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1850888 Size: SH
  1. Install the intermediate drive shaft to the transaxle.
  2. Position the intermediate shaft support bracket to the engine.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1850442 Size: MH
  3. Install the support bracket bolts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 58 N·m (43 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1851039 Size: SH
  4. Install a new wheel drive shaft retaining ring.
  5. Install the right wheel drive shaft. Refer to Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement.
  6. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
