Removal Procedure
- Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
- Remove the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement.
- Remove the connector (2) from the lock (1).
- Pry the electric park lock (2) off of the ignition lock cylinder case assembly (1).
Warning: Refer to SIR Warning in the Preface section.
Installation Procedure
- Snap the electric park lock (2) onto the ignition lock cylinder case assembly (1).
- Reconnect the connector (2) to the electric park lock (1).
- Install the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement.
- Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
