Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.

Plug

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tip
Apply pipe sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) or equivalent to the drain plug.

Tighten
27 N·m (20 lb ft)

Plug

Procedure

1. Apply pipe sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) or equivalent to the drain plug.
2. Install the drain plug before installing the fill plug if refilling the transfer case.
3. Refill with the correct fluid. Refer to Approximate Fluid Capacities.

Tighten
27 N·m (20 lb ft)
