Tools Required

1. Remove the thrust washer (1).
2. Remove the thrust bearing (2).
3. Remove the 4th gear (3).
4. Remove the caged needle bearing (4).
5. Remove the wavy washer (5).
6. Remove the 4th gear blocking ring (6).



7. Remove the gear shaft components from the input shaft using the J 36513  (2) under the 3rd speed gear, the J 44378  (1), and a hydraulic press.



8. Remove the following components as an assembly:

8.1.	The bearing collar (1)

8.2.	The 3rd/4th synchronizer assembly (2)

8.3.	The thrust washer (3)

8.4.	The thrust bearing (4)

8.5.	The 3rd gear blocking ring (5)

8.6.	The wavy washer (6)

8.7.	The 3rd gear (7)




9. Remove the caged needle bearing (1).
10. Remove the caged needle bearing (1).
11. Remove the thrust bearing (2).



12. Press off 5th gear using the J 44378  (1), the J 36513  (2) and a hydraulic press.
