Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the front hood molding. Refer to Hood Front Molding Replacement.

    2. Object Number: 743495 Size: SH
  2. Remove the push-pin retainers (2) from the hood and insulation.
  3. Remove the insulation from the tabs (1) and remove the insulation from the hood.

    4. Object Number: 740670 Size: SH
  4. Using a grease pencil or other suitable marking device, mark the position of the hood to the hinges (3).
  5. Remove the 4 bolts that retain the hood hinges to the hood with an assistant.
  6. Remove the hood from the vehicle with an assistant.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 740670 Size: SH
  1. Position the hood to the vehicle with an assistant.
  2. Partially install the 4 bolts that retain the hood to the hinges (3).

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Position the hood to the hinges at the previously marked locations with an assistant.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the hood retaining bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  4. Install the hood insulation to the hood.
  5. Install the push-pin retainers (2).
  6. Install the front hood molding. Refer to Hood Front Molding Replacement.
