Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 712800 Size: SH
  1. Remove the 2 screws that retain the insulator panel to the instrument panel (I/P).
  2. Release the insulator panel retaining clip from the I/P substrate.
  3. Lower the insulator panel.

    4. Object Number: 865707 Size: SH
  4. Remove the 2 data link connector (DLC) retaining screws.
  5. Remove the DLC from the insulator panel.
  6. Remove the splice pack from the insulator panel.
  7. Remove the hazard and turn signal flasher from the insulator panel. Refer to Hazard and Turn Signal Flasher Replacement.
  8. Remove the insulator panel from the I/P.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 865707 Size: SH
  1. Position the insulator panel to the I/P.
  2. Install the hazard and turn signal flasher to the insulator panel. Refer to Hazard and Turn Signal Flasher Replacement.
  3. Install the splice pack to the insulator panel.
  4. Position the DLC to the insulator panel.

    5. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  5. Install the DLC retaining screws.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the DLC retaining screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  6. Install the insulator panel tabs to the cowl slots.

    7. Object Number: 712800 Size: SH
  7. Raise the insulator panel to the I/P.
  8. Install the insulator panel retaining clip to the I/P substrate.
  9. Install the 2 screws that retain the insulator panel to the I/P.

    10. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).
