- Remove and discard the rubber ignition coil seals, and the camshaft cover seal.
- Clean the camshaft cover with a suitable cleaning solvant.
- Inspect the camshaft cover for cracks or damage.
- Inspect the bolt threads for damage.
- Replace the camshaft cover if necessary.
