Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 351783  Size: SH
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the 3 screws (5) from the bottom of the rear bumper fascia.

  4. Remove the 2 bolts from each rear bumper impact bar lower outside bracket (1).
  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Open the rear door.

  7. Object Number: 351783  Size: SH
  8. Remove the 4 screws (5) from the middle of the rear bumper fascia (3).
  9. Remove the 2 screws (5) from the top of the rear bumper fascia.
  10. Slide the rear bumper fascia (3) rearward.
  11. Remove the rear bumper fascia (3) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Insert the rear bumper fascia (2) side attachments into the rear bumper fascia side supports.
  2. Slide the fascia (3) into place.
  3. Install the 2 screws (5) to the top of the rear bumper fascia.
  4. Install the 4 screws (5) to the middle of the rear bumper fascia.
  5. Close the rear door.
  6. Raise the vehicle.

  8. Install the 2 bolts to each of the rear bumper impact bar lower outside brackets (1).
  9. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Tighten
    Tighten the rear bumper fascia bolts to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

  10. Install the 3 screws (5) to the bottom of the rear bumper fascia (3).
  11. Lower the vehicle.
