Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 739064  Size: SH
  1. Remove the two fasteners and the ignition coil cover (2) from the valve cover (1).
  2. Disconnect the ignition coil electrical connector.

  3. Object Number: 677347  Size: SH
  4. Remove the ignition coil retaining bolt (1).
  5. Pull up in order to remove the ignition coil (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 677347  Size: SH
  1. Install ignition coil (2) into the valve cover.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Secure the ignition coil to the engine with the retaining bolt (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the retaining bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Connect the ignition coil electrical connector.

  6. Object Number: 739064  Size: SH
  7. Install the ignition coil cover (2) to the valve cover (1).
  8. Secure the ignition coil cover (2) with the two fasteners.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the two fasteners to 3 N·m (26 lb in).
