Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 470826 Size: SH
  1. Remove the endgate trim panel seal. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement .
  2. Remove the 2 mounting nuts (2) which secure the endgate outside handle.

    3. Object Number: 473516 Size: SH
  3. Remove the endgate outside handle (2) from the rear license plate housing (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 473516 Size: SH
  1. Install the endgate outside handle (2) to the rear license plate housing (1).

    2. Object Number: 470826 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the 2 mounting nuts (2) which secure the endgate outside handle.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the endgate outside handle mounting nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the endgate trim panel seal. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement .
