Verify that the hazard lamps and the turn signal lamps are inoperative.

Are the hazard lamps and the turn signal lamps inoperative?

Test for battery voltage at terminal 7 of the hazard switch.

Is battery voltage present?

Go to Step 5

Repair the open in the WHT/GRN wire between the hazard switch and the junction block. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 16

Test for battery voltage at terminal 6 of the hazard switch with the ignition switch in the ON position.

Is battery voltage present?

Go to Step 7

Repair the open in the YEL wire between the hazard switch and S211. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 16

Test for battery voltage at terminal 8 of the hazard switch with the ignition switch in the ON position.

Is battery voltage present?

Go to Step 9

Replace the hazard switch. Refer to Hazard Flasher Switch Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 16

Test for battery voltage at terminal 4 of connector 4 at the junction block with the ignition switch in the ON position.

Is battery voltage present?

Go to Step 11

Repair the open in the YEL/RED wire between the hazard switch and the junction block. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 16

Test for battery voltage at terminal 9 of connector 3 at the junction block with the ignition switch in the ON position.

Is battery voltage present?

Go to Step 12

Repair the open in the GRN wire between the junction block and connector 216. Refer to Lighting Systems Components and refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 16

  1. Disconnect connector 1 from the junction block.
  2. Connect a test lamp between terminal 6 and B+.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 15

Repair the open in the BLK wire between the junction block and S207. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 16

Replace the turn/hazard flasher. Refer to Hazard and Turn Signal Flasher Replacement .
