Front Side Door Jamb Switch Replacement 2 Door

Removal Procedure

  1. Open the front side door.
  2. Open the rubber cap in order to gain access to the door jamb switch retaining screw.
  3. Remove the screw which secures the door jamb switch to the door jamb.
  4. Remove the rear quarter lower trim panel in order to access the door jamb electrical connector. Refer to Rear Quarter Lower Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  5. Disconnect the door jamb switch electrical connector.
  6. Remove the door jamb switch from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the door jamb switch electrical connector.
  2. Install the door jamb switch to the door jamb. Secure the switch with the retaining screw.
  3. Install the rear quarter lower trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Lower Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  4. Close the rubber cap.
  5. Close the front side door.

Front Side Door Jamb Switch Replacement 4 Door

Removal Procedure

  1. Open the front side door.
  2. Open the rubber cap in order to gain access to the door jamb switch retaining screw.
  3. Remove the retaining screw which secures the door jamb switch to the door jamb.
  4. Pull the door jamb switch forward in order to gain access to the electrical connector.
  5. Disconnect the door jamb switch electrical connector.
  6. Remove the door jamb switch from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the door jamb switch electrical connector.
  2. Install the door jamb switch to the door jamb. Secure the switch with the retaining screw.
  3. Close the rubber cap.
  4. Close the front side door.
