Verify that the Park Lamps are inoperative.

Do the Park Lamps operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the Light Switch assembly connector.
  2. Connect the test lamp between C216, cavity 12 of the Light Switch assembly and ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Connect the fused jumper between cavity 12 and cavity 17 of the Light Switch.

Do the Park Lamps illuminate?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Repair the open circuit between the Junction Block C5, cavity 3 and the Light Switch C216, cavity 12. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 9

Replace the Light Switch assembly. Refer to Headlamp Switch Replacement .

Test for an open condition between the Junction Block C1, cavity 2 and S217.

Does an open condition exist?

Go to Step 8

Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Repair the open condition between C1, cavity 2 of the Junction Block and S217. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 9

Operate the System in order to verify the repair.
