Did you review the Headlights/Daytime Running Lights (DRL) Circuit Description and perform the necessary inspections?

Verify that the headlamp low beams are inoperative.

Do the headlamp low beams operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the Turn Signal/Headlamp Switch connector.
  2. Connect a fused jumper wire from the Turn Signal/Headlamp Switch connector cavity 13 to ground.

Do the low beams operate?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Replace the Turn Signal/Headlamp Switch. Refer to Headlamp Switch Replacement .

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in the RED/WHT wire between cavity 13 of the Turn Signal/Headlamp Switch connector and S233. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 6

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
