Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 473529  Size: SH
  1. Remove the radiator grille. Refer to Grille Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  2. Disconnect the headlamp bulb and turn lamp bulb electrical connectors.
  3. Remove the headlamp bulb, if necessary. Refer to Headlamp Bulb Replacement .
  4. Twist the turn lamp bulb socket counterclockwise and remove the socket from the headlamp assembly, if necessary.
  5. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
  6. 5.1. The 3 bolts (3)
    5.2. The headlamp assembly (1,2)

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the headlamp assembly (1,2) to the vehicle. Secure the assembly with the 3 bolts (3).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the headlamp assembly mounting bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the turn lamp bulb socket to the headlamp assembly (1,2) and twist the socket clockwise in order to secure, if removed.
  4. Install the headlamp bulb to the headlamp assembly (1,2), if removed. Refer to Headlamp Bulb Replacement .
  5. Connect the headlamp bulb and turn lamp bulb electrical connectors.
  6. Install the radiator grille. Refer to Grille Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  7. Aim the headlamps as necessary. Refer to Headlamp Aiming .
