The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Rapid Activation can not be used for activating warranty replacement receivers.

The reason for this is the Digital Radio Receiver Identification Number will not have been pre-loaded in the data base to enable it for rapid activation.

Even if the web page seems to indicate that a rapid activation of a warranty receiver was successful, the signal may not have actually been sent.

For warranty replacements, a regular activation is required by calling (1-800-556-3600).

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
