Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 368343  Size: SH
  1. Remove the auxiliary battery. Refer to Auxiliary Battery Replacement .
  2. Remove the surge tank nut and bolt.
  3. Lift and reposition the surge tank to the side.
  4. Remove the battery tray bolt and nuts.
  5. Remove the auxiliary battery tray.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the auxiliary battery tray.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the battery tray bolt and nuts.
  4. Tighten

        • Tighten the battery tray bolt to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
        • Tighten the battery tray nuts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
  5. Set the surge tank into position.
  6. Install the surge tank nut and bolt.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the surge tank bolt and nut to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  8. Install the auxiliary battery. Refer to Auxiliary Battery Replacement .
