Air Conditioning (A/C) Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Replacement Non-HP2

Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor.
  2. Remove the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor (1) from the condenser tube.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor (1).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the switch to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connector to the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor.
  4. Leak test the fittings of the components using the J 39400-A .
  5. Lower the vehicle.

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the pressure sensor.
  2. Remove the upper radiator air baffle.

Tip
Remove and discard the O-ring. Refer to O-Ring Replacement .

Tighten
6 N·m (53 lb in)
