Removal Procedure

    Important: Before cutting out or removing a stationary window, apply a double layer of masking tape around the perimeter of the painted surfaces and inner trim of the window.

  1. Open the lift window.

  2. Object Number: 379401  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the lift window rear defogger plug from the window.
  4. Caution: When working with any type of glass or sheet metal with exposed or rough edges, wear approved safety glasses and gloves in order to reduce the chance of personal injury.

  5. Use safety glasses and gloves.

  6. Object Number: 313603  Size: SH
  7. Remove the struts from the lift window. Refer to Liftgate Window Strut Replacement in Body Rear End.

  8. Object Number: 388724  Size: SH
  9. Remove the C-clips from the lift window hinges, not the liftgate.
  10. With the aid of an assistant remove the lift window (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 388724  Size: SH
  1. With the aid of an assistant install the lift window (1) to the vehicle.
  2. Install the C-clips to the lift window hinges.

  3. Object Number: 313603  Size: SH
  4. Install the struts to the lift window. Refer to Liftgate Window Strut Replacement in Body Rear End.

  5. Object Number: 379401  Size: SH
  6. Connect the lift window rear defogger plug to the window.

  7. Object Number: 706194  Size: SH
  8. Clean any excess adhesive from the body.
  9. Remove the protective coverings and tape from the vehicle and the headliner.
  10. Close the lift window.
